Day Twenty-Two: Fancying a Holiday

We left Paris this morning for London to visit our lovely friends, Abi and Matthias and their two adorable children. As Matthias works for Eurostar, we were fortunate enough to travel in style:

Before heading to our home for the next two days, we checked out a London park. Samantha was skeptical and claimed allegiance to Parisian parks. When probed about her disdain for the UK playground, she explained that the kids here could understand what she was saying and she did not like that:
 Most people complain about being misunderstood but Samantha is nothing if not perverse.
 Her prejudice quickly dissolved...

Our sweet and increasingly eccentric daughter befriended this snail and conducted full conversations with him for 45 minutes:

Finally we made the journey out to Kingston and spent a fantastic evening with our friends. The girls became instant friends...
And Abi and Matthias pampered us with a delicious meal:
We've only been here 8 hours, but so far, London has been a huge success.
